Ericsson is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer in Noida, India, to deploy and manage cloud solutions using OpenStack and OpenShift. The role involves advising on best practices, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring high performance and security. This position requires hands-on experience with OpenStack, Linux administration, automation tools like Ansible and Terraform, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Develop automation scripts using Bash scripting and Python to enhance efficiency and quality of cloud operations.
Advise customer teams on best practices for cloud infrastructure.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for high performance and security.
Handle OpenStack cloud administration tasks including performance tuning, troubleshooting, resource management, availability zones, host aggregation, tenant management, and virtual resources.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpenStack services and underlying infrastructure.
Monitor system health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
Manage and troubleshoot Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6.x, 7.x, 8.x) and Ubuntu systems.
Configure and troubleshoot network components including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, VXLAN, bridging, routing, IP Tables, DNS, and DHCP.
Operate and manage hardware through interfaces like iLO, iDRAC, and CIMC.
Implement robust security measures to safeguard customer workloads and data.
Perform CEPH storage operations like OSD delete, recreate, set/unset flags.
Ensure SLAs and Operational standards are met, including ITSM guidelines.

Requirements

Minimum 4-8 years of experience in any Private Cloud technology.
Hands-on experience in OpenStack cloud administration tasks and Linux administration.
Understanding in developing automation scripts using Bash scripting and Python.
Understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV).
Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform.
Practical experience with Redhat OCP/Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Hands-on experience and expertise with OpenStack and Linux platforms.
Good experience in Linux Administration for both physical and virtual servers (OS Installation, Performance Monitoring/Optimization, Kernel Tuning, LVM management, File System Management, Security Management).
Experience managing and troubleshooting Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6.x, 7.x, 8.x), Ubuntu systems.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting network components including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, VXLAN, bridging, routing, IP Tables, DNS, and DHCP.
Experience operating and managing hardware through interfaces like iLO, iDRAC, and CIMC.
Hands on experience with CEPH storage operations.

Desired Qualifications

Candidates with Redhat OpenStack, RHCSA, and RHCE certifications will be given preference.
