In short

We are seeking a Senior Business Navigator III to join our London team. This role focuses on enhancing customer value and optimizing business performance for IKEA Retail by providing financial insights and strategic guidance. The ideal candidate will have extensive IKEA retail experience, strong analytical and influencing skills, and a good understanding of financial tools and new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide country management with information, analysis, and expert insight to support growth, optimal performance, and sustained long-term profitability.
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and relevant business information and expertise to inspire decision-making.
  • Partner with units on financial performance and manage country financial submissions to global retail business navigation.
  • Oversee the P&L, taking responsibility for specific country P&L lines to steer units and central functions towards their goals.
  • Contribute functional expertise to the country pricing process to maximize commercial opportunities and achieve country gross margin goals.
  • Identify and actively pursue business opportunities.
  • Work with partners in units and SO functions to ensure effective implementation of tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Conduct Financial Health Topic Reviews and support units in improving their functional review outcomes.
  • Secure performance measurement and support for major KPIs by being close to operations, organizing workshops, and conducting benchmark activities.

Requirements

  • Senior Ingka Business experience from an IKEA retail market Service office.
  • Unit commercial business knowledge and cross-functional understanding of IKEA operations.
  • Store business navigation manager experience in a high volume store for several years.
  • Leadership experience in BN and at least one other SSG role.
  • Working understanding of project management.
  • Effectively builds relationships within and across organizations, including influencing at senior levels.
  • Good understanding of data science, new technologies, analytics, and their application in a business context.
  • Good knowledge of the IKEA Concept, the IKEA Brand Identity, and the IKEA culture & Values.
  • In-depth knowledge of IKEA business tools, processes, and cycles to formulate and develop strategies.
  • Skilled communicator and influencer with the capacity to influence decisions and create energy and commitment.
  • Strategic, tactical, and operational business partner with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions.
  • Comfortable working in agile structures and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to handle a constantly changing environment with many different stakeholders and demands.
  • Ability to understand the complexity of the IKEA business and the role of business navigation.

Benefits

  • Starting salary of £70,000 per annum, dependent on successful candidate’s current base salary and competencies.
  • Full-time position: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Flexible working principles.
  • 12 days’ workplace presence required, of which 8 must be in Wembley, with the remaining 4 in an individual's nearest unit.
