Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned orders targets and business objectives across North Africa.
- Develop and execute territory plans that increase market penetration, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
- Identify, develop, and convert new customer accounts and business opportunities.
- Drive business development across strategic markets including Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Water & Wastewater, Infrastructure, Smart Cities, Material Handling, and Data Centers.
- Position Emerson technologies and value-based solutions to address customer challenges and business priorities.
- Expand lifecycle opportunities within the existing installed base, including modernization, migration, upgrades, and services.
- Build a strong opportunity pipeline and maintain focus on converting strategic opportunities into sustainable business growth.
- Manage and develop relationships with MAS System Integrators throughout North Africa.
- Build productive relationships with Machine Builders, Distributors, Consulting Engineers, and End Users.
- Strengthen existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities to expand Emerson’s footprint.
- Understand customer requirements and provide responsive commercial and technical support throughout the sales process.
- Engage regularly with customers and partners across the region, including frequent travel within the assigned territory.
- Partner with proposals, application engineering, project services, and sales teams to develop competitive and effective opportunity strategies.
- Collaborate across Emerson businesses to identify opportunities within shared customers and strategic market segments.
- Support marketing campaigns, customer events, exhibitions, and other business development initiatives.
- Share market and customer insights with Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams.
- Use Salesforce CRM effectively to manage opportunities, customer engagement, pipeline visibility, and business reporting.
- Coordinate with Finance on commercial terms, payment conditions, and customer requirements.
- Support quotation development, Bills of Materials, special pricing requests, and internal approval processes.
- Work with Supply Chain teams to support product availability and timely delivery to customers.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of sales experience within industrial automation, industrial technology, or a related industry.
- Good knowledge of industrial automation technologies, including PLC, HMI, RTU, SCADA, IIoT, and related automation solutions.
- A demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
- The ability to understand customer applications and translate technical capabilities into business value.
- Experience using CRM platforms to manage accounts, opportunities, and sales pipelines.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the assigned territory.
Desired Qualifications
- French language proficiency.
- Knowledge of PLCs, RTUs, HMI/SCADA software, Industrial PCs, Edge Controllers, Gateways, Industrial Networking, and IoT technologies.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: Water & Wastewater, Oil & Gas, Smart Infrastructure and Smart Cities, Manufacturing, Material Handling, Data Centers, Renewable Energy.
- Understanding of systems engineering, control panels, electrical systems, industrial networking, and automation architectures.
- Experience developing business through System Integrators and channel partners.
