In short

The RTR Specialist II is responsible for accounting activities within the general ledger, including processing journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and resolving accounting open items. This role requires robust knowledge of accounting processes, experience in shared services environments, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post Manual Journal Entries as requested.
Prepare monthly and quarterly accruals.
Prepare monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
Ensure targets and expected deliverables are met according to the SLA guidelines.
Carry out a knowledge transfer process.
Identify potential areas for process improvements and highlight to Supervisors and Continuous Improvement Team.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Participate in the reporting process of financial statements on a monthly basis.
Develop analysis and information as requested by the Business Units.

Requirements

More than two years of experience in general accounting or Big 4 environment (audit, consulting, accounting, etc.).
Shared Services environments experience is required.
Robust knowledge, insight and experience in accounting processes.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
Oracle / SAP or other ERP experience.
Knowledge and proven experience in Continuous Improvement projects implementation across accounting processes and application of Lean Six Sigma Methodologies and Project Management tools.

Desired Qualifications

Technical High School - Associate or Technical Degree in Accounting.
University Accounting or Finance Degree.
Hyperion or other FS reporting and consolidation system is also preferred.
Demonstrated high level knowledge in Accruals, Prepaids, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Month End Processes/routines.
Certifications and/or courses in Artificial Intelligence, Automation and other Continuous Improvement, Project Management, and Agile Methodologies, such as Yellow or Green Belt, PMP, Scrum Master or equivalent.
