In short

This role is responsible for executing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing various systems including conveyor, PLC, and MHE. The engineer will also manage vendor coordination, shift teams, and ensure safety compliance, inventory management, and RCA for breakdowns. A key aspect is maintaining records for utilities and ensuring the site adheres to 5S standards.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance per PPM/APM schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, PLC control systems, network systems, electrical/mechanical systems, and MHE.
  • Coordinate with vendors for warranty/AMC equipment servicing.
  • Manage shift FM agency teams (technical and soft services).
  • Ensure closure of maintenance tickets within defined TAT.
  • Maintain records for utilities (water, electricity, STP/WTP).
  • Drive safety compliance and safe work permit systems.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and reorder processes.
  • Conduct RCA for incidents/breakdowns and share learnings.
  • Maintain building housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Ensure planned checks of critical equipment are done as per plan.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components.
  • Support production by working in a safe, customer-focused manner.
  • Handle refurbishment and upgrade works for building finishes, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and implement safe work permit systems.
  • Update tools inventory and ensure reordering requests are made.
  • Manage soft services activities: Pest control, Housekeeping, Scrap & Garbage/waste disposal.
  • Ensure planned statutory test/report submission.
  • Follow guidelines to achieve set targets of OPEX spend.
  • Prepare RCA for incidents/breakdowns and share learnings with the team.
  • Ensure SOP adherence.
  • Train FM agency teams on new processes and provide instructions/manuals.
  • Keep people working in a safe environment, applying Amazon Safety Policy.
  • Maintain and store relevant documents for the RME function.
  • Provide immediate technical guidance to operations during critical events.

Requirements

  • Experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Communication/Instrumentation and Controls.
  • 1+ years of conveyors/automation/control systems maintenance experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with professional documentation using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
