ABB is seeking a Quality Specialist to support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit. This role focuses on achieving and exceeding customer expectations through quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams, while ensuring sustainable operations. The specialist will collaborate with local functions, lead quality operations for specific product families, and manage non-conformity issues using the DMAIC approach.
Responsibilities
- Support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit.
- Assist the organization in achieving prevention, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with local functions to achieve targets and aim for world-class performance.
- Define quality requirements, quality gates, and process control plans for new launches.
- Support product development in early stages to ensure products satisfy quality specifications.
- Define quality procedures and conduct quality trainings.
- Support the definition and implementation of actions to improve safety, operating efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Lead quality operations on a specific product family, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Act as a reference for suppliers/customers during process audits.
- Manage non-conformity issues, cooperating closely with other business functions and leading RCA according to DMAIC approach.
- Manage quality data and metrics according to ABB standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering.
- Good knowledge of English and Italian, both written and spoken.
- Positive spirit, proactivity, team working, responsiveness.
- Commitment to deliver results by taking responsibility to execute assigned tasks and projects.
- Willingness to express your full potential bringing-in your value added, ideas and passion to continuously innovate daily job and solution.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of 5+ years in similar roles will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of Statistical Analysis and statistical software (i.e. Minitab).
- Knowledge of lean six sigma methodology will be considered a plus.
