Responsibilities

Support the full lifecycle of ABB pulp-and-paper quality control products at customer facilities.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of ABB hardware and software.
Assist with projects, upgrades, new installations, and advanced services.
Work independently or as part of a small site team to provide service.
Mentor and guide less experienced Field Service Technicians.
Manage contract renewals and provide evidence of contract value.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment, applying industry experience.
Foster customer relationships and handle difficult customer service issues.
Communicate effectively with plant operators, management, vendors, and other ABB employees.

Requirements

8 years of industry specific experience on ABB pulp and paper quality control products (or equivalent 3rd party vendor products).
Associates Degree in field relating to instrumentation & control, electrical engineering technology, electronics, instrumentation or process control.
Comfortable using electrical test equipment such as voltmeters or multi-meters safely.
Work authorization that permits working for ABB in the US.

Desired Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable using basic hand tools.
