Responsibilities
- Develop a highly efficient and performing team through identifying and developing core competence.
- Coach team members on company procedures and Business Code of Practice.
- Support individuals in accomplishing KPIs and developing talented persons.
- Continuously improve the sourcing control procedure.
- Monitor and control the entire Purchase-to-Pay process.
- Develop suitable suppliers for new market applications.
- Monitor supplier performance using SAP, BW, and other platforms.
- Manage recovery of quality defects or LD caused by suppliers.
- Improve supplier performance in efficiency and quality with SQA team.
- Develop new suppliers for new product applications and core localization with marketing, engineering, and quality teams.
- Achieve material Pre-post targets with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure supplier on-time delivery through order status follow-up and expediting.
- Achieve cost reduction targets by challenging traditional processes.
- Build efficient inventory in COF and suppliers' factories with warehouse material planners.
- Optimize payment terms by negotiating with suppliers.
- Manage and control supplier commitment/inventory based on project status.
- Support GAP division sourcing activities in China (new supplier development, delivery, negotiation).
- Benchmark with other GAP entities.
- Undertake other assignments from the Supply Chain Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree of engineering or commerce.
- At least 5 years of experience in a sourcing position.
- Fluent English in spoken and writing.
Desired Qualifications
- Candidate must be highly motivated, able to multi-task, set priorities and goal oriented.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Strong negotiation skills in the procurement area.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 1 or 2 years of sourcing managerial experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP R/3, Office 365, B/W tools.
