Responsibilities
- Lead planning, scheduling, and project control activities across all project phases.
- Maintain and analyze actual and forecasted schedules, costs, revenues, cash inflows and outflows, as well as project risks, opportunities, and OPQ.
- Proactively monitor, report, and manage project deviations, ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Support the development of planning capabilities within the local unit.
- Identify potential risks and deviations at an early stage, and recommend improvements to planning and control tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Analyze project requirements and check that all essential work activities have been identified.
- Define, jointly with the project team, project work and cost breakdown structure, and develop/maintain linked resource loaded/integrated schedules.
- Monitor project progress and analyze critical paths to ensure milestones are progressed to plan.
- Notify Project Managers of any deviations or scheduling issues and provide input for optimizing resources.
- Issue progress reports, program updates, and productivity data.
- Advise and coach junior Planning and Control Specialists on planning and scheduling topics.
- Suggest improvements to processes and tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Planning Engineer or Lead Planning Engineer.
- Strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, and data analytics using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Good understanding of project management processes, project lifecycle, and schedule management.
- Hands-on experience in Cost Control, Earned Value Management (EVM), and project performance tracking.
- Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Graduate
