Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of medium-size projects.
- Ensure all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets.
- Lead project team members to achieve project requirements and deliver contracted deliverables.
- Develop and analyze project execution, KPI monitoring, and ensure consistent project execution across factory teams.
- Prioritize actions based on strategic alignment, value, and resource capacity.
- Develop an execution plan with a strong delivery, design, test & user documentation, product cost estimates, risk mitigation techniques, and operating procedures.
- Develop framework for leaders to work collaboratively with cross-functional departments including Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain Management, Laboratory, Technical Services, Operations, and Quality Control.
- Implement and maintain project management tools, and automate reporting, workflows, and documentation.
- Share executive summary with operational excellence, factory management, R&D leadership and product management periodically.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred).
- Minimum of 12-14 years of experience in project management and engineering management of electrical power systems product development environment.
- Direct experience in electrical/mechanical industry with project management in product development, project team management in factory operations environment or in a power utility is strongly preferred.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated capability to meet project deadlines and deliver the results.
- PM certification is preferred.
- Experience in managing stage-gate projects using waterfall project methodology.
- Additional experience using Agile product development methodology is a plus.
- Strong people management or supervisory experience.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
- Experience using Agile product development methodology is a plus.
