As a Project Engineer in the Energy Conversion solutions team, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of new electrical components for steam processes, from idea to series production. You will collaborate with international teams, define specifications, and troubleshoot quality issues.
Responsibilities
- Selection of main electrical components (motor and variable speed drive)
- Coordinate the design & release of the electrical schematic, electrical BOM & wiring
- Define, program and implement control strategies and translate them into soft- and hardware
- Define the functional specification of electrical components (motors, drives, sensors, etc.)
- Follow up qualification of electrical components
- Discuss electrical cabinet design with the supplier
- Follow up realization of electrical cabinet & wiring
- Follow up production and field installations, troubleshoot quality and performance issues
- Apply standards and regulations (IEC, UL, CSA, IEEE)
- Secure and disseminate acquired knowledge
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equal by experience
- Passion for electrical design, backed by strong general technical knowledge
- Fluent communication skills in English
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Autocad Electrical and E-plan is a plus
- Experience in machine controls and control programming is a plus (e.g. Siemens TIA or Simatic)
- Experience in a product development environment is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of Dutch is a plus
