Program Leader to support cross-functional teams in New Product Introduction (NPI) and other areas, ensuring projects meet cost, quality, and timing requirements. This hybrid role involves managing projects from concept to manufacturing establishment, collaborating with diverse global teams, and reporting to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the overall execution of assigned New Products, ensuring targets for safety, ergonomics, environment, cost, quality, and timing are achieved.
  • Lead activities for specific new product introductions, focusing on physical production, material planning, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Design, Packaging, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Maintain communication with plant management and NPI team leaders on project status.
  • Coordinate manufacturing plans for new products.
  • Support adherence to global new product and sustaining roadmaps, project milestones, and metrics.
  • Coordinate tariffs, funding, product costs, product quality, productivity, safety, ergonomics, environment, space, and timing.
  • Execute risk management through identification, quantification, response development, and control.
  • Report monthly to Senior Management at Product Development Reviews.
  • Develop skill sets for additional responsibilities, including overall management of assigned new projects.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years’ experience in project management
  • Two plus (2+) years with experience in a high volume, consumer product manufacturing environment preferred
  • Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills are essential.
  • Use of Excel to analyze SAP data and make recommendations on required actions to support project goals
  • Project management experience with automation/capital projects that utilized concurrent engineering.
  • Basic understanding of project milestones methodology
  • Must be able to thrive in a global team-based, matrix environment.
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to understand product technical requirements and work with Engineering and Quality teams to implement effective production controls

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field (Engineering or Operations) preferred.
  • A general understanding of zinc die casting, stamping, forging, automated assembly, metal finishing are pluses.

Benefits

  • Domestic and International travel up to 25% required.
  • Base salary range: $80,000 to $120,000.
  • Pay within range is based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
