Responsibilities
- Lead purchasing activities within scope, maximizing customer satisfaction and business value.
- Be accountable for supplier QDCF performance across segments, driving negotiations, cost optimization, ordering, and logistics.
- Ensure segment strategy is continuously updated and implemented by selecting and challenging suppliers.
- Utilize Volvo Group purchasing tools and cross-functional networks across project, production, and aftermarket phases.
- Contribute to supplier strategy and cross-regional business performance.
- Lead purchasing activities related to the North America region.
Requirements
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Solid experience in purchasing, supplier relationship management, and complex negotiations.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, lead fact-based negotiations, and secure business decisions.
- Strong business acumen, cost optimization mindset, and agility.
- Positive attitude, service-minded, and target-oriented approach.
- Strong team player with the ability to lead, take ownership, and operate with autonomy.
- Ability to be open-minded, encourage collaboration, and add value with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Motivated by change management and ability to drive change.
- University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent working experience.
- Multicultural experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven knowledge of electrical components such as power distribution, connectors, and specialty cables considered a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
