Responsibilities

  • Lead purchasing activities within scope, maximizing customer satisfaction and business value.
  • Be accountable for supplier QDCF performance across segments, driving negotiations, cost optimization, ordering, and logistics.
  • Ensure segment strategy is continuously updated and implemented by selecting and challenging suppliers.
  • Utilize Volvo Group purchasing tools and cross-functional networks across project, production, and aftermarket phases.
  • Contribute to supplier strategy and cross-regional business performance.
  • Lead purchasing activities related to the North America region.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Solid experience in purchasing, supplier relationship management, and complex negotiations.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, lead fact-based negotiations, and secure business decisions.
  • Strong business acumen, cost optimization mindset, and agility.
  • Positive attitude, service-minded, and target-oriented approach.
  • Strong team player with the ability to lead, take ownership, and operate with autonomy.
  • Ability to be open-minded, encourage collaboration, and add value with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Motivated by change management and ability to drive change.
  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent working experience.
  • Multicultural experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven knowledge of electrical components such as power distribution, connectors, and specialty cables considered a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
