Sandvik is seeking a Production Controller for their Turku, Finland site to join the Site Business Control Team. This role involves supporting operational excellence and profitability by analyzing production costs, inventory impacts, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in finance or a related field, a few years of experience in controlling or business analytics, and strong skills in Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production costs, unit costs, inventory impacts, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide meaningful analyses, KPIs, performance evaluations, cost reports, and business insights.
  • Identify trends, improvement opportunities, and performance drivers to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other Load & Haul production units globally.
  • Participate in monthly closing activities and forecasting processes.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analyses using large datasets.
  • Turn data into actions that improve performance, efficiency, and sustainable business growth.

Requirements

  • Relevant educational background, such as a master's degree in finance, accounting, business, industrial engineering or a related field.
  • A few years of experience in a similar controlling, finance, or business analytics role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, manufacturing cost structures, inventory valuation principles, and cost accounting.
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial processes is essential.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and possessing strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent skills in Excel and Power BI.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English is required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with data modeling and modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SQL or similar technologies is considered an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP systems and business processes in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean ERP is considered an advantage.
  • Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented personality.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand the bigger picture and communicate complex topics clearly.
  • Confident in challenging existing ways of working.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
