The Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure products are delivered on time. This role manages order scheduling, production planning, inventory support, and cross-functional coordination to ensure efficient execution from order release through shipment and invoicing. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline and 1-3 years of experience in planning, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, factory capacity, material availability, and business priorities.
  • Validate customer requested delivery dates and support lead-time quotation activities.
  • Schedule orders in line with delivery commitments and production requirements.
  • Release work orders based on production capacity, WIP levels, inventory status, and customer priorities.
  • Coordinate manufacturing execution from order scheduling through completion and invoicing.
  • Monitor production flow and maximize throughput across manufacturing operations.
  • Drive service level performance by optimizing planning and lead-time management activities.
  • Support planning activities for MRO and project orders to ensure successful execution.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Stores, and Customer Service teams to support effective order execution.
  • Coordinate BOM changes and resolve planning-related engineering issues.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure customer specifications and requirements are achieved.
  • Plan and coordinate customer inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain visibility of capacity constraints across stores, assembly, paint, quality, and packing operations.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives, including inventory turnover (ITO), safety stock, excess and obsolete inventory management, and material planning.
  • Contribute to inventory performance improvement programs and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain planning and operational reports, including Late Backlog Reports, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), On-Time Delivery (OTD), Inventory Bridges, Inventory Turnover (ITO), and POR Phasing Reports.
  • Provide planning insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Support business unit initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in planning, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related functions.
  • Understanding of production planning and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing workflows.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in manufacturing, valve industry, or industrial production environments.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain planning, and production scheduling.
  • Experience with ERP-based planning systems.
  • Familiarity with inventory optimization and operational performance metrics.
