As a People & Culture Manager in Arlon, Belgium, you will act as a business partner to the Unit Manager, leading the local implementation of people strategies and ensuring IKEA's culture and values are lived daily. This role requires strong tactical and operational thinking, knowledge of employment laws, and the ability to coach leaders and develop teams.
Responsibilities
- Act as a business partner for the Unit Manager and contribute to the local management team.
- Lead the People & Culture team with the local implementation of people strategies.
- Secure a work environment where IKEA culture & values are alive and visible.
- Lead, develop, and coach the P&C-team to secure a solid co-worker experience.
- Implement People strategy, international principles, guidelines, and business plans locally.
- Influence local management teams to develop leadership capabilities.
- Facilitate trainings on unit level.
- Secure a solid staff planning in the unit according to business needs.
- Ensure a strong and consistent employer communication flow aligned with the IKEA brand.
- Secure solid and up-to-date succession planning with a focus on talents and high performers.
Requirements
- Be a people person with a belief in individual potential and improving co-worker experiences.
- Be a strong tactical and operational thinker, balancing both aspects.
- Understand securing long-term objectives based on fixed budgets and goals.
- Have solid knowledge of co-worker and employer rights & obligations, and relationship management.
- Know how to monitor co-worker performance linked to goals, identify opportunities, and evaluate/stimulate them.
- Know how to help co-workers evolve and develop themselves and the business.
- Have good knowledge and experience coaching leaders to support stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of English and the local language of the unit.
- Willingness to work 3 Saturdays out of 4.
