Responsibilities
- Operate tube mill operations and equipment.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas (5S).
- Cross-train team members on parts programming and mill set-ups.
- Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) of process and equipment.
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the department supervisor.
- Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
- Minimize scrap.
- Work with maintenance to resolve issues.
- Document downtime through a reporting system for KPI tracking.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in using special measuring devices: micrometer, calipers, tape measure.
- Ability to read set up charts supplied by OEM and interpret them for tooling adjustments.
- Ability to change out cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels.
- Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames of scheduling.
- Good communication skills with coworkers and material handlers.
- Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
- Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in using special measuring devices.
- Ability to interpret OEM set up charts.
- Ability to document downtime through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking.
