The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance tasks in a highly automated manufacturing environment, troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical and electrical equipment. Responsibilities include planned and preventive maintenance, problem analysis, and using a CMMS, with a focus on safety and timely issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Execute maintenance tasks requiring in-depth technical knowledge of automated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment breakdowns involving mechanical and electrical aspects.
  • Analyze failure causes and suggest improvements.
  • Perform planned tasks regarding predictive and preventive maintenance.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to reduce the consequences of failure.
  • Participate in problem analysis, root cause identification, and solution implementation.
  • Create and execute improvement proposals.
  • Complete administrative tasks using a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Support operators by providing training.
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Actively troubleshoot maintenance issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Proven experience and technical knowledge in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience and technical knowledge in electrical and mechanical maintenance of equipment, OR military experience in a technical field OR an Associate’s Degree in a technical field.
  • Proficient in both electrical and mechanical knowledge and abilities.
  • Basic hand/power tool familiarity.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing specifications or work instructions.
  • Knowledge of and experience with industrial electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, email).
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.e., SAP or Maximo).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and program PLCs.
  • Detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Ability to perform maintenance in a high-stress manufacturing environment.
  • Availability to work any shift (weekends, holidays and overtime).
  • Ability to lift and move up to 33lbs, stand for extended periods, bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs or ladders.
  • Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.

  • Pumping system maintenance experience
  • Conveyor system maintenance experience
