As a Mechanical Assembler at Atlas Copco's manufacturing facility in Voorheesville, NY, you will assemble and install mechanical and electrical components for compressors and related equipment. This full-time, on-site role requires at least one year of training or two years of equivalent experience, with a focus on safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks.
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work, including motor/compressor alignment, electrical box assembly, and system installation.
- Install and connect instrument wiring, electrical components, and oil/water piping by following assembly and wiring drawings.
- Conduct hydrostatic testing and other verification steps to ensure equipment meets quality and operational standards.
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures, maintaining compliance with OSHA requirements and contributing to a safe work environment.
- Work second shift: Monday through Thursday 3:00pm to 1:30am EST.
Requirements
- One year of training in the Electrical or Mechanical field or two years of equivalent experience.
- High School Certificate of Graduation
- Able to read and understand assembly and wiring drawings
- Experience with common hand and pneumatic tools
- Certification to use cranes and fork trucks
