Emerson is looking for a Material Handler III at their Olive Branch, MS distribution center. This role involves operating powered equipment like reach trucks and pallet jacks to handle materials, stock items, replenish inventory, and pick orders. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 6 months of warehouse experience, and prior reach lift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Moving product within the warehouse using motorized equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order selectors, reach lifts).
  • Stocking incoming items, replenishing flow racks, and picking orders using RF equipment.
  • Creating cartons and labels prior to shipping.
  • Maintaining productivity minimum standards with urgency.
  • Adhering to all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Replenishing orders as necessary to support operations.
  • Supplying cardboard boxes and bags for departments.
  • Maintaining safe actions on and off equipment.
  • Meeting department quality, attendance, and productivity requirements.
  • Performing necessary housekeeping duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 6 months of previous warehouse experience.
  • Previous reach lift experience.
  • Previous shipping/receiving/material handling experience.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely.
  • Ability to lift parts weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in bending, squatting, and standing positions for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to perform reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, banding, stretching, bending, and standing frequently.
  • Ability to work quickly, meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Must pass forklift certifications and requirements.
  • Must pass a non-DOT physical exam.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.

  • Previous RF equipment experience.
  • Strong teamwork skills and proven ability to collaborate in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Hands-on experience and ability to work cross-functionally in different areas.
