- Explore statistical tools to improve accuracy and reliability in turbulence-resolving simulations.
- Develop statistical algorithms to automatically identify initial transients and monitor data signals for statistical convergence.
- Test and tune developed statistical models on synthesized signals and signals from turbulence-resolving simulations.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and specialists.
- Contribute to the development of new methodology for CFD.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a master's education (or similar) and about to start a 30 HP master thesis work.
- Experience within fluid mechanics and CFD.
- Must have taken courses in fluid mechanics including CFD.
- Good understanding of statistics and mathematics.
- Eager to learn about aerodynamics and CFD.
- Ability to solve technical problems.
- Good drive and ability to work independently.
- Team player with a desire to collaborate.
- Must pass a security vetting.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with compressible flow.
- Familiarity with turbulence modeling and its fundamentals.
- Interest in aerodynamics and CFD.
