This on-site, full-time role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic, and strong documentation and repair skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and sustain custom automation equipment.
  • Perform hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Maximize production output by ensuring equipment is in good operating condition.
  • Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Assist operations in achieving their production timelines.
  • Collaborate with other department teams on process improvements.
  • Inspect newly acquired equipment and ensure it meets industry standards.
  • Confirm production tasks are within equipment capacity and follow manufacturers' guidelines.
  • Abide by safety regulations and prevent mechanical hazards.
  • Train workers on proper equipment operation.
  • Keep records of maintenance activities.
  • Oversee chemical storage and SDS compliance.
  • Communicate equipment faults and maintenance techniques to management.
  • Prioritize daily work orders by importance.
  • Support overall company operations by performing assigned duties, potentially in other departments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 3 to 5yr+ Experience in Manufacturing as an Industrial Mechanic.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Hands on repair skills.
  • Good communication, team player, flexible, self-motivated, and decision maker.
  • Professionalism.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Continuous learning attitude.
  • Ability to read schematics (equipment manuals, mechanical, pneumatic, piping, part assemblies).
  • Safe, clean, and organized work habits.
  • Familiar with correct tools for specific tasks.

Desired Qualifications

  • Trade school certificates/licenses or associate degree preferred.
  • Experience in equipment operation and preventive maintenance for CNC, Cross Cut Saws, Welders, Conveyors, Shrink Wrap, Scales and Various pneumatic equipment.
  • Preventive maintenance experience.
  • Other trade skills/licenses/experience (HVAC, pipefitting, welding, machinist, construction, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
  • Experience editing existing schematics (red lining).
