Alstom is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 in Tel Aviv-Yafo. The role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing overhead contact systems, transformer stations, and infrastructure equipment safely and efficiently. Candidates should have technical qualifications and experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and perform maintenance repairs of the overhead contact system (OCS), Transformers stations (TS), and Infrastructure equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Adhere to and work within Quality Systems to the current applicable standards.
  • Understand and follow work instructions, Standard Operating Sheets, and Task Sequencing.
  • Support secondary level fault finding.
  • Use work-related IT Systems including MMIS/SES to record progress and status.
  • Accurately report status of operations, complete Work Checklists and Work Orders with the required level of detail.
  • Make suggestions and recommendations for productivity improvements.
  • Maintain 5S good housekeeping of all related work areas.
  • Accept training in other skills and carry out duties, e.g. forklift, road vehicle driving (if certified), attend call-outs and breakdowns.
  • Abide by safety notices, rules, and regulations and follow safe working practices.
  • Comply with all EHS protection and AZDP measures.

Requirements

  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent with associated technical qualifications (ONC/HNC/City & Guilds) or recognised equivalent.
  • Dual skilled (mechanical and electrical).
  • Electrical certified Principal engineer.
  • Experience of working to procedures, work instructions, and vehicle maintenance instructions.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of train maintenance.
  • Technical skills in fault finding, reading schematic diagrams, and working to technical instructions.
  • Fluent in country language and English.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advantage for Electrical certified in Medium Voltage.
  • Experience of mentoring and instructing other team members.
  • Team Player. Spirit of “Team Trust Action”.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem resolution skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • IT literate.
