Performs labor relations projects for hourly and technician employees, aiming to achieve employee satisfaction and company objectives. Ensures compliance with labor laws and agreements, leads negotiations, and manages conflicts within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps in touch with hourly employees to understand and effectively address their issues.
  • Suggests and executes HR policies, procedures, and programs efficiently.
  • Works with area managers to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Promotes effective communication, employee retention, and completes employee relations programs.
  • Understands and applies labor relations legislation and agreements to business issues.
  • Ensures compliance with legal or regulatory changes pertaining to labor and employment laws.
  • Maintains awareness of the local and external Labor Relation environment.
  • Leads negotiation processes to resolve issues between employees, supervisors, and the business.
  • Suggests and implements performance measurement and feedback tools.
  • Manages conflicts among employees.
  • Monitors, measures, and reports on Labor Relation aspects.
  • Participates in and supports organizational initiatives such as ISO, Safety, and EMS.
  • Administers Electrolux work rules and Code of Conduct.
  • Leads implementation and follow-up of absenteeism and turnover programs.
  • Supports employee recognition and social events.
  • Administrates duties with cafeteria, buses, and medical service vendors.
  • Ensures activities meet quality management, health and safety, legal, environmental, and profitability requirements.
  • Responsible for applying requirements related to EMS, ISO9001/14001/50001/ Green Spirit/Zero Waste Landfill.
  • Ensures human resources and employee competencies meet ISO 50001:2018 requirements.
  • Ensures scheduling of employee training to meet ISO 50001:2018 requirements.
  • Ensures evaluation of employee skills in relation to the energy management system.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related fields.
  • +5 years of experience working with labor relations field and human resources related in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English 80% (verbal communication).

  • Knowledge and proficiencies in MS Office (Windows, Excel, Word, Power Point, TRESS).
  • Experience with Employees Official Agreements Coordination (Dates Interchange).
  • Strong Organizational skills.
  • Knowledge in energy management systems ISO 50001 (Significant Energy Uses, Energy Policy, objectives and actions plans).
