Volvo Financial Services is looking for a second or third-year law student for a Fall 2026 legal internship in Greensboro, NC. This role involves legal research, writing, and assisting with commercial finance matters within the transportation industry, offering a hands-on learning experience with professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support on commercial finance matters in the transportation industry.
  • Conduct legal research and writing.
  • Assist with updating a state GAP law survey.
  • Assist with negotiated commercial transactions.
  • Interact directly with members of the Legal Department and internal clients.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school (top 1/3 of class preferred).
  • Demonstrated strong legal writing skills.
  • Familiarity with or coursework on Articles 2A and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, Business Associations and/or Bankruptcy preferred.
  • Experience prioritizing work effectively and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience working with attention to detail and in a proactive way.
  • Proven interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fully proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Must have 30 cumulative credit hours and a minimum GPA of 2.75.

  • Prior professional work experience is a plus.
  • Additional language is a plus.
