About the job

Reporting to the INTERIOR DESIGN MANAGER, this SPECIALIST role is tasked to inspire and surprise visitors by creating relevant, functional, aesthetic and commercial home furnishing solutions that translate the IKEA brand and appeal to the local market.

Your assignment

  • You use home furnishing competence to create home furnishing solutions in room settings, homes, vignettes and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity;
  • You contribute to the creation of a Showroom matrix that reflects a wide variety of styles, living situations and price levels to create a good tempo with distinct visual impressions;
  • You actively contribute to developing, implementing, and evaluating store communication strategies that support a convenient shopping experience by using knowledge about life at home and shopping behaviour in the local market.
  • You work together with the Comm&In team and other functions in identifying commercial opportunities by staying up to date with knowledge about home furnishing, communication and retail design trends;
  • You ensure high quality, simplicity, efficiency and cost consciousness in planning and implementation of all range presentation solutions using global tools, proven solutions and IKEA best practices that will support a convenient shopping experience and reflect the local needs of life at home.

Qualification

Your profile

  • At least 3 years relevant work experience in a fast-paced retail environment, preferably gained from the home furnishing industry;
  • Knowledgeable of trends that influence home furnishing and retailing in the Philippines;
  • Familiar with range presentation & home furnishing the IKEA way (layout as a commercial tool, store media, display techniques);
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with others in various situations;
  • Flexible and hands-on, with keen eye for details.
