Amazon is seeking a subject-matter expert in US employment-based immigration to manage the rollout of sponsorship restrictions across hiring systems. This role involves translating policy into operating frameworks, partnering with tech teams, and handling complex escalations within the recruiting and HR community.

Responsibilities

Own the creation of short-term (interim) and long-term (durable) solutions for implementing sponsorship restrictions in Hire/Amazon systems, collaborating with TA Tech and Product leaders.
Define the decision-making matrix for sponsorship eligibility by job family and develop the communication strategy for recruiters, HRBPs, and candidates.
Build and configure workflows with clear escalation paths for eligibility screening and exceptions.
Manage day-to-day operations with the support of the execution team.
Handle complex queries and edge cases, including grandfathering of existing employees and exception requests from business lines.
Engage stakeholders across HRBP, TA, and Hiring Managers to embed restrictions into the hiring process.
Conduct proactive audits and oversee contingent worker (CWR) quality related to screening and contact handling.

Requirements

3+ years of human resources experience
Experience with HR processes and systems

Desired Qualifications

Experience with process improvement and stakeholder management
Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information and adherence to strict confidentiality standards
