IKEA is seeking a creative Graphic Design Specialist for a 2-year contract in Bucharest. Responsibilities

  • Use graphic communication competence to strengthen the uniqueness and consistency of the IKEA identity in store communication.
  • Apply principles of IKEA visual and verbal identity.
  • Contribute to the department action plan with initiatives that grow the business and support long-term profitability.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate store communication to ensure it conveys the benefits of the IKEA Concept and enhances range presentation.
  • Develop and implement store communication strategies that support a convenient shopping experience.
  • Respect routines, work with the Communication & Interior Design team and other functions, and act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure visual balance, consistency, quality, simplicity, cost-efficiency, and sustainability in producing and implementing store communication.
  • Minimize disruption when working on the shop floor.

Requirements

  • Proficiency and extensive experience in using production tools and graphic design software like InDesign and Illustrator, Premier Pro and After Effects.
  • Education in graphic communication design, media and typography.
  • Between 3-5 years of experience in Graphic design.
  • Ability to combine and identify commercial, aesthetic and practical skills.
  • Confident in approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations.
  • Ability to work together with others in a team.
  • Practical hands-on approach to work.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize own work to make the most efficient use of available time and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to visualize and present ideas.
  • Desire to seek out opportunities that improve the way we work, thereby minimizing financial and environmental costs.
  • Basic communication skills in English.
  • Good verbal & written skills in Romanian language.
