QT Technologies Ireland Limited is seeking a Staff GPU Systems Validation Engineer in Cork to focus on bare metal Driver/Firmware Development and Validation, and debug of system-level issues. The role involves programming device drivers in C, scripting in Python, and collaborating with system architects and hardware designers.

Responsibilities

Deliver low-level hardware drivers for SOC GPU Subsystem.
Manage validation and testing of the driver/hardware.
Program device drivers in C language.
Debug low-level software and hardware issues.
Script in Python for data analysis and test automations.
Perform on-going code re-factoring.
Develop and execute test plans.

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Low Level software development in C, C++, and Assembly.
Excellent knowledge of ARM processors.
Experience in automation and test/integration methodologies.
Experience developing validation methodologies and infrastructure solutions.
Experience with source and revision control tools (GIT, Perforce).
Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with teams in several Geos.
Strong debug skills.
Experience with lab equipment, such as, Logic analyzers and Oscilloscopes.
Experience with the Lauterbach Trace32 debug platform.
Familiarity with DFT/DFD.
Familiarity with RMA process and the debug flow for customer returns and HVM failures.

Desired Qualifications

Developing and optimizing test framework and tools to create a controlled validation environment to support large scale validation.
Designing and defining new validation strategy as well as detailed test plans.
Lead debug efforts for issues found during Pre-silicon and Post-silicon.
Define, design, and execute platform Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon validation plans for current and future products.
Provide mentorship and technical direction to a distributed team of system validation engineers for program execution.
