Spotify is seeking a Fraud Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract in London. This role focuses on combating payment fraud, chargebacks, and platform misuse using AI and data analysis. The successful candidate will work with global teams to enhance fraud prevention strategies and protect revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Review suspicious activity flagged by fraud systems and take mitigating/preventative action.
  • Utilize and test emerging AI technologies and automated tooling for fraud detection.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on tooling and system changes.
  • Analyze new fraud trends and present data-informed findings.
  • Handle daily fraud and misuse escalations, working with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams.
  • Support leadership in maintaining policies, process automation, and playbooks.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a fraud analyst or revenue protection role, preferably in e-commerce, merchant fraud, or creator/marketplace platforms.
  • Familiarity with common fraud prevention techniques, dispute/chargeback management, and financial crime risks.
  • Experience working with machine learning and rule-based fraud prevention tooling (e.g., Ravelin, Sift, Signifyd, Accertify).
  • Strong data analysis skills using SQL (Google BigQuery is a plus).
  • Experience with dashboard visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
