Responsibilities
- Develop firmware for telemetry systems, platform initialization, and board support packages.
- Design and develop low-level inter-core messaging services and SSIO interfaces (I3C, I2C, UART, SPI).
- Implement power-control loops, memory and cache management, and boot sequencing.
- Contribute to the development of RTOS and driver frameworks.
- Develop and maintain OS-level performance infrastructure and debugging tools.
- Collaborate with silicon, hardware, and software teams to deliver secure firmware.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent experience.
- Proficient in C/C++.
- Experience debugging and resolving issues across multiple subsystems in the embedded ecosystem.
- Experience with platform initialization, low-level device drivers (I3C, I2C, SPI, USB, UARTs), Memory Management, Scheduling, Interrupts, or multi-threading.
- Experience with board-level bring-up and lab debug (JTAG/SWD/GDB, UART/I²C/SPI/GPIO).
- Experience with SoC bring-up, OS primitives, memory management, and multi-threading.
- Experience in working in pre-silicon environments.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check and citizenship verification for export control regulations.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding OR equivalent experience.
