Alfa Laval is seeking a Financial Data Analytics and Control professional for the MESEA region. This role involves analyzing financial information, managing budgets and forecasts, sales and cost controlling, and supporting financial data warehouses. The ideal candidate will extract, clean, and transform data, build dashboards, and collaborate with IT to ensure data integrity and provide actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and Service operations Costing Update.
- Maintain and develop Analytics and FC tools, including sales and financial databases.
- Perform regular analysis of business performance and variances in the MESEA region.
- Conduct cost analysis and maintenance of cost allocation.
- Respond to ad hoc requests from business units and other users of financial data.
- Contribute to monthly and year-end closings.
- Ensure a second level of quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Provide quarterly and year-end local and ad hoc data for corporate management.
- Extract, clean, and transform financial data from various internal systems and databases.
- Build, maintain, and optimize self-service dashboards for finance stakeholders, and resolve data mapping issues between source systems.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering to resolve data quality issues and improve data pipelines.
- Support data literacy by acting as a data ambassador to help stakeholders self-serve.
- Continuously improve business processes and ensure suitable financial performance measurement (KPI).
- Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
Requirements
- BA, preferably master’s degree.
- Technical proficiency managing databases, data analytics tools, and some programming.
- Knowledge and experience of working with databases and analytical tools.
- Strong understanding of and experience working with businesses and financial data flows and processes.
- At least 3 years of experience in similar roles.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with strict deadlines with high data quality.
- Business Acumen.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Commitment to excellent customer service and support.
