Amazon's FOAA team is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Accounts Payable team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Key responsibilities include month-end activities, P&L and balance sheet analysis, ensuring financial policies and controls, and interacting with auditors.

Responsibilities

Perform/Support month-end activities including closing sub ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting, and balance sheet account analysis.
Prepare month-end Flux analysis for P&L and Balance Sheet accounts and share with stakeholders, including reasons for changes.
Apply in-depth accounting knowledge to recognize and resolve complex issues, or consult with leadership for resolution.
Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place, documented, and to work on process improvements.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and highlight/take action on issues.
Interact with auditors on audit-related queries for smooth completion.
Responsible for GRC compliance, internal control, and aligning improvements/changes with stakeholders.
Perform and support new business/system launches including UAT of accounting entries and financial reporting.

Requirements

0-3 years of finance experience.
Qualified Chartered Accountant.
Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills.
Experience using data to influence business decisions.

Desired Qualifications

2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
Experience in managing finance operations for accounts payable, accounts receivable or payroll.
