Atlas Copco is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Central Region (ideally based in Ohio). This role involves providing onsite technical support, performing installations, maintenance, and repairs on tools and assembly systems. Requires 2-3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, IT proficiency, and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems in the field.
  • Provide world-class technical support onsite at customer locations within the dedicated region.
  • Perform new installations, commissioning, preventative maintenance, and calibrations on tools and assembly systems.
  • Provide service coordination, cross-functional knowledge sharing, and team member support.
  • Build strong customer relationships and assist with any issues.
  • Create detailed reports and capture costs through timely administrative work.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting, programming, and repairs.
  • Reinforce correct operation and "Best Practices" of Atlas Copco equipment to customers.
  • Respond and travel to emergency field repair of Atlas Copco equipment.
  • Coordinate travel schedule and accommodations to visit customer sites.
  • Interface with customers externally and internally within the company.
  • Report directly to the Regional Team Leader.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 60% locally and 40% nationally.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Customer service excellence and ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
  • IT, MS Office products, and networking or wireless communication proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to summarize technical problems and resolutions.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid US Driver’s License.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
