Responsibilities
- Perform service activities in-house, at nuclear power plants, and at outside repair/testing facilities.
- Travel approximately 40-50%, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Conduct testing to applicable valve repair or in-service testing codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Recommend material and equipment purchases for repairs.
- Advise sales, engineering, and other departments on technical aspects of repair valves and replacement parts.
- Conduct production and engineering testing using a high-pressure test facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
- Mechanical aptitude in conceptual design.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work independently and efficiently, and meet scheduled deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Engineering, technical military experience, or 3+ years of related work experience.
- 3+ years of direct experience with document control (proceduralized processes and quality forms/documents).
- Experience with safety relief valves and line valves products or other highly engineered product experience is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Nuclear Quality Assurance Programs, ASME standards and/or National Board Inspection Code is a plus.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical control systems.
- Experience with high pressure test facility systems and the ability to operate, maintain, and repair them.
