Responsibilities
- Execute service work with low to medium complexity according to ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Plan and execute work with a 'first-time right' approach with customers.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer operations and eliminate pain points while on-site.
- Perform field service tasks, identify technical issues, and conduct analysis remotely or on-site.
- Prepare material lists for service activities and ensure availability and quality of parts and equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment/process failures, request corrective actions, and make recommendations to prevent future issues.
Requirements
- Graduate Engineer in instrumentation, Electrical or Equivalent Engineering degree.
- Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years as a customer support / project / service engineer of System 800xA based safety systems.
- Experience preferably in Oil & Gas / Power & Water industry.
- Good hands-on experience in System 800xA based integrated control and safety system (hardware and software).
- AC800M HI library-based application development – project & commissioning experience.
- Knowledge of FSMS (functional safety management system) is a Must-have.
- Knowledge of Functional safety technical standards IEC61511, IEC61508 and corresponding system engineering practice experience.
- Hands-on experience in Industrial networking, network switch configuration.
- Hands-on experience in Cyber security for 800xA based systems.
- Hands-on experience in industrial communication protocols like Modbus- RTU & TCP, OPC, etc.
- Be an analytical thinker, self-starter, resilient and highly adaptable.
Desired Qualifications
- Valid Functional Safety certifications preferred such as TUV FS engineer, ABB certifications etc.
