As a Field Service Engineer in Tainan City, Taiwan, you will provide expert repair services for Edwards technology solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. Responsibilities
- Plan and undertake maintenance activities on Edwards equipment at customer sites.
- Ensure equipment is repaired safely, timely, and effectively to meet customer needs.
- Integrate equipment support activities with other groups for operational continuity.
- Control local inventory to support contracted activities cost-effectively.
- Liaise with the Edwards Service Centre for operational, technical, and reporting requirements.
- Act as a first point of contact for product inquiries and technical advice.
- Maintain local operating procedures for training and reference.
- Direct site efforts to achieve cost of ownership targets and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Ensure data collection information is maintained.
- Undertake assigned tasks and projects from management.
Requirements
- Electro-mechanical / Electronic engineering background with formal qualifications or equivalent.
- Significant knowledge of the semiconductor industry and its protocols.
- Minimum of four years of experience in an engineering, service, or maintenance role with direct customer contact.
- Well-developed competency in customer service orientation.
- Significant experience demonstrating good communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
- Capability to work remotely and operate on own initiative.
- Sufficient PC skills for information management, report preparation, and presentations.
- Knowledge of Edwards products (to be added by local Field Service Manager).
- Sufficient knowledge of the Edwards organization to direct inquiries appropriately.
- Competent in spoken and written English.
