Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced research in cloud, compute, and distributed systems for future telecom networks.
- Explore and solve complex research challenges in Advanced Cloud Hardware or Federated AI Compute.
- Design, execute, and drive technical studies and proofs of concept.
- Develop novel solutions for patents, publications, standards, and business value.
- Collaborate with global researchers, product teams, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to technology strategy and the evolution of intelligent network infrastructure.
- Support standardization and ecosystem activities, including contributions to 3GPP.
- Deliver high-quality research outcomes, publications, and patents.
- Contribute to technical studies and proof-of-concept activities within the first 6 months.
- Drive impactful research initiatives and produce tangible results within the first 12 months.
- Build strong collaborations across research, product, and standards communities.
Requirements
- Research talent with a strong academic/research foundation in compute systems.
- MSc/MTech/MRes/PhD/PostDoc from a leading research institution.
- Demonstrated research capability in high-performance computing, distributed systems, computer architecture, cloud/compute infrastructure, virtualization, AI systems, or federated/distributed AI.
- Ability to independently identify technical problems, develop novel solutions, and demonstrate validity through analysis, experimentation, or prototypes.

- Ability to identify significant technical problems and formulate novel research questions.
- Strong analytical, experimental, and problem-solving capability.
- Evidence of research output or technical innovation.
- Deep understanding of at least one relevant compute/systems area.
- Strong programming/prototyping capability and experience working with real systems or experimental platforms.
- Ability to turn research into prototypes, patents, publications, standards contributions, or technology concepts.
- Ability to collaborate with researchers across disciplines and geographies.
