Nordea is seeking an Enterprise Architect to define and drive business and technology solutions for its Corporate Banking core platforms. This role involves developing architecture visions, supporting execution teams, and managing technology adoption, with a focus on payments. The position is open in Helsinki or Gdańsk and operates on a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Architecture Visions and Target & Transition Architectures, focusing on payments.
  • Support execution structures and development teams with architecture and governance.
  • Lead enterprise architecture assignments across multiple Service Areas.
  • Represent Architecture in steering committees and governance forums.
  • Support proof-of-concept and procurement processes for new software and technology.
  • Manage architecture elements for new technology adoption.
  • Coach less senior architects.
  • Work across all four architectural disciplines and abstraction levels.
  • Engage with business lines related to Corporate customers, primarily Corporate Banking, cash management, and corporate lending.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and cooperation skills, fluent in English.
  • Ability to interact seamlessly with diverse organizational parts and levels.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Capability to manage multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments based on overall priorities and manager dialogue.
  • Strong understanding of Corporate Banking business area, including products like lending, cash management, payments, and trade finance.
  • Experience with corporate core banking platforms or large-scale banking systems for corporate customers.
  • Understanding of end-to-end corporate banking processes and their support by core platforms and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of payments as a business line and a solid background in technology disciplines.
  • Ability to transform high-level business strategies into tangible and executable architectures.
  • Good knowledge of ITIL and TOGAF, with potential earlier certifications.
  • Good understanding of agile execution models, including SAFe, and experience working with them.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technology field, or equivalent practical experience in architecture functions.

Desired Qualifications

  • A keen interest in architecture and mastery of architectural disciplines.
  • Earlier certifications in ITIL and TOGAF are a plus.
