Qualcomm is hiring a Staff Engineer in Bangalore, India to lead the validation of hardware and software sensor solutions for embedded and wearable platforms. Responsibilities include designing test plans, developing Python-based automation frameworks, and analyzing sensor data to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end validation of hardware and software sensor solutions across embedded and wearable platforms.
  • Design comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation methodologies for sensor features and algorithms.
  • Develop and maintain robust Python-based automation frameworks for functional, regression, stress, and system-level testing.
  • Automate sensor test execution, data collection, result analysis, and reporting.
  • Validate hardware sensors (Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Magnetometer, PPG, ECG, Environmental, temperature) and software/algorithmic sensors (Pedometer, Motion Detection, Activity Recognition, Display and Context Sensors).
  • Analyze logs, debug failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution.
  • Own defect tracking, triage, and closure activities.
  • Participate in product design reviews and provide feedback on testability, reliability, and quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to test framework architecture and automation best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement of validation processes, tools, and automation coverage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
