As a Documentation Engineer in Jiang Yin City, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely provision of high-quality technical documentation. This role involves preparing, maintaining, and overseeing the quality of all documentation to ensure compliance with standards and internal procedures, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the complete documentation package delivered to clients, ensuring the timely provision of high-quality, accessible technical information.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, ensuring compliance with standards, effective training, and alignment across teams.
- Oversee the quality of all documentation to guarantee adherence to rules and specifications.
- Ensure all document packages comply with internal processes and procedures.
- Proactively engage support functions and other departments to obtain necessary documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design engineers, welding engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Lead or support improvement initiatives and projects, both globally and internally.
- Implement ISO, ASME and other related responsibilities in quality system.
- Other tasks assigned by manager.
Requirements
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in document management systems and relevant software (e.g., MS Office, Adobe Acrobat)
- Knowledge of industry standards (ISO, ASME, etc.)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Project management and organizational abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical writing, or a related field
- Experience in preparing and maintaining technical documentation
- Familiarity with quality management systems and compliance requirements
- Previous involvement in cross-functional teams (design, welding, project management, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in continuous improvement initiatives is a plus
