Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Data Centre Operation Technician in Hyderabad, India, to maintain and operate large-scale cloud computing infrastructure. This full-time, on-site role involves hardware troubleshooting, network issue resolution, and responding to operational incidents within a 24x7 shift rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and upkeep data center infrastructure.
  • Perform server rack installation and hardware break-fix on various components.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
  • Serve as a primary contact for internal customers and external service partners.
  • Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets and perform first-line hardware troubleshooting.
  • Participate in on-call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities.
  • Contribute to team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
  • Document technical issues through root cause analysis and contribute to process improvement.
  • Potentially assist in training less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 18kg.
  • Willingness to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
  • Ability to adhere to health & safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to cover 24x7 shift rotation.

  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution.
  • Experience operating efficiently under pressure.
