AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Centre Operation Technician in Mumbai, India to maintain and operate large-scale cloud computing infrastructure. The role involves hardware troubleshooting, network issue resolution, and responding to operational incidents. Responsibilities
- Maintain and upkeep data center infrastructure.
- Perform server rack installation and hardware break-fix on various components.
- Troubleshoot network issues and respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
- Serve as the primary contact point for internal customers and external service partners.
- Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets and provide first-line touchpoint for hardware troubleshooting.
- Perform on-call duties, participate in Data Center operations, and handle scheduled maintenance and change management.
- Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
- Contribute to documentation through root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including lifting up to 18kg and working in cramped or elevated spaces.
- Cover 24x7 shift rotations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 18kg.
- Willingness to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
- Ability to cover 24x7 shift rotation.
