We are looking for a DataStage Technical Lead in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India to lead technical aspects of projects using IBM Infosphere DataStage Suite, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions. Responsibilities include leading a team, developing ETL processes, optimizing SQL queries, and troubleshooting technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of developers in the design, development, and deployment of IBM Infosphere DataStage jobs and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for data integration projects.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using IBM Infosphere DataStage, ensuring optimal performance and data quality.
  • Design, implement, and optimize SQL queries in Oracle databases for data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Create and maintain Unix shell scripts to automate data loading processes and perform system tasks efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct performance tuning, and ensure data integrity across all systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and tools in data integration to drive innovation and efficiency in project delivery.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in IBM Infosphere DataStage suite for designing and implementing ETL solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and functions in Oracle databases.
  • Experience in Oracle PL/SQL for database programming and optimization.
  • Proficient in Unix shell scripting for automation of data processes and system tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively lead a technical team and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in project management, including planning, organizing, and executing technical projects effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps to build and deploy.

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in IBM Infosphere Datastage or Oracle PL/SQL are a plus.
