In short

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Governance Consultant / SME to join our Data Governance & Data Management team in Wroclaw. This role involves evolving the governance model, creating practical implementation guidance, and supporting its adoption across the organization to enable trusted, usable, and compliant data for sustainable transport solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Translate governance model and principles into practical playbooks, role guidance, workflows, templates, and examples.
  • Define and evolve capabilities of the operating model, including processes, artefacts, and enabling tools.
  • Collaborate with Data Governance Implementation Leads and digital delivery teams to apply the model and resolve conceptual questions.
  • Evolve the Governance Model based on changing needs, including governance roles, accountabilities, decision rights, and escalation mechanisms.
  • Develop onboarding and learning materials, assess implementation maturity and gaps, and capture lessons learned.
  • Support targeted Volvo Group organizations in their data journey and transformation.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Data Governance & Data Management within large, federated, or complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of how business processes, information, architecture, and digital products connect.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing governance frameworks and operating models.
  • Experience developing implementation guidance and supporting adoption across business and technical teams.
  • Strong conceptual and systems thinking.
  • Excellent communication, writing, stakeholder influence, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in aligning business, governance, and technical perspectives.
  • Pragmatic and analytical approach.

  • Ability to adapt recognized frameworks to organizational needs and create clear, usable deliverables.
