AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a skilled Data Center Operation Technician in Mumbai, India to maintain and operate data center infrastructure. Responsibilities include server rack installation, hardware break-fix, network troubleshooting, and responding to operational stability issues within a 24x7 shift rotation.

Responsibilities

Maintain and upkeep data center infrastructure as part of the Operations team.
Perform server rack installation, hardware break-fix on various components, and troubleshoot network issues.
Respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
Act as the primary contact for internal customers and external service partners.
Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets and act as the first line of touch for hardware troubleshooting.
Perform on-call duties and participate in data center operations, scheduled maintenance, and change management.
Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
Contribute to documentation on technical issues through root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
Support DC infrastructure equipment like racks, servers, networking devices, and hardware components.
Follow ticket-based environment instructions and perform systematic problem resolution.
Perform routine operation activities on hardware, including rack install, server break/fix, and rack decom.
Maintain tidiness in operation areas.
Cover 24x7 shift rotation.

Requirements

2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
1+ years of computer networking experience.
High school or equivalent diploma.
Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Experience working in a colocation data center facility.
1+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations experience.

Desired Qualifications

More experienced technicians may assist in training less experienced members of the team.
Some tasks involve working within server and equipment enclosures where space is compact.
