Manage world's largest cloud computing infrastructure in India as a Data Center Manager. Lead and develop engineering teams, maintain and build data centers, and drive operational excellence through process improvement and metrics. Responsibilities
- Manage and develop teams of engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise.
- Maintain existing co-located and in-house Data Centers.
- Assist in building and bringing online new Data Centers.
- Continuously improve processes and procedures for operational excellence.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
- Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health & Safety standards.
- Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of data centers to drive positive changes.
- Assist in implementing service methodologies including incident, problem, change, and capacity management.
Requirements
- 4+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
- 3+ years of managing technical teams with significant personnel management experience.
- Proven ability to develop engineers and build successful teams.
- Experience in managing both high & low performing employees.
- Experience in conflict management.
- Extensive experience dealing with high severity situations and understanding wider implications of issues/outages.
- Experience in Change Management & Fault Management.
- Experience dealing with external vendors and displaying problem & conflict management.
- Ability to demonstrate improving both good and bad processes, including process mapping and remediation.
- Health & Safety should be at the forefront of every manager's mind and ability to positively influence safety culture.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent STEM field, or 4+ years of network and operating system support experience.
- 1+ years of Agile methods and processes experience.
- Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar.
- Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts is preferable.
- Experience implementing change management successfully transitioning programs into large-scale operations.
