As a Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician at Microsoft, you will be responsible for cycle audits, managing incoming/outgoing deliveries, and coordinating security escorts. This role involves documenting deliveries, initiating warranty claims, and processing returns for failed equipment, contributing to Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) division.

Responsibilities

Perform cycle audits and data corrections to ensure inventory controls are met.
Initiate warranty claims and process returns for failed vendor hardware devices.
Document incoming and outgoing deliveries accurately.
Coordinate security escorts for third-party vendors.
Assist in reconciling and reporting inventory discrepancies.
Conduct physical inventory tracking and staging.
Destroy data-bearing devices following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies.
Comply with all security and data management policies.

Requirements

College degree AND 6 months experience or an internship in inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
