The role involves administering the Illumio platform for Zero Trust Segmentation, analyzing application dependencies, and implementing security policies across cloud and on-premises environments. Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the Illumio platform (PCE and VENs).
  • Deploy, troubleshoot, and upgrade Illumio agents on Windows and Linux.
  • Monitor platform health, agent connectivity, and policy status.
  • Analyze application traffic flows and identify dependencies for workload classification.
  • Develop and maintain micro segmentation policies (Ringfencing, Tier-to-Tier, etc.).
  • Test policies in visibility and simulation modes before enforcement.
  • Maintain accurate workload labeling and segmentation metadata.
  • Support segmentation initiatives across Azure, hybrid, and on-premises data centers.
  • Assist with micro segmentation for manufacturing and operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Monitor segmentation coverage and identify opportunities to reduce attack surface.
  • Develop scripts and automation for workload onboarding, reporting, and policy management.
  • Support integrations between Illumio and ServiceNow, CMDB, and SIEM solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of cybersecurity, infrastructure, or security engineering experience.
  • Experience with network security, firewalls, server administration, and security operations.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, Active Directory, Windows and Linux administration, and cloud networking fundamentals.
  • Experience troubleshooting application communication issues.
  • Availability to be on-call for off-hour emergencies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Illumio or other segmentation technologies.
  • Experience supporting Zero Trust initiatives.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow.
  • Exposure to SIEM platforms.
  • Exposure to Vulnerability Management tools.
  • Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs.
  • Manufacturing or OT cybersecurity experience.
