Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor critical datacenter infrastructure including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Perform planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance and repairs following established procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment and systems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Ensure adherence to safety and security requirements, including JHAs and toolbox talks.
- Develop and update methods of operating procedures (MOPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Document completed work, track equipment assets, and manage work orders using CMMS.
- Provide escort and oversight for third-party contractors and vendors.
- Respond to and lead incident response for abnormal conditions.
- Inspect facility equipment for unsafe or abnormal conditions and analyze trends.
- Operate all systems and equipment safely and professionally.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Completion of, or current enrollment in, the Critical Environment Academy critical facilities training program (Per Scholas).
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check and other security screenings.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to meet physical requirements including occasional climbing, prolonged standing, and lifting up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or technical trade certification (military, trade school) AND 2+ years mission-critical services experience (data centers, oil and gas, hospitals, etc.) OR High School Diploma/GED AND 3+ years mission critical services experience.
- 1+ year(s) mission critical services work/applied learning experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience with knowledge and understanding of critical electrical and mechanical systems (generators, UPS, chillers, air handlers, controls) and their interdependencies.
- Ability to travel less than 25%.
